With roof joists going up in the new Primary School gym, sprinkler piping and overhead ductwork being installed in the classroom addition, and electrical and plumbing work starting at the Transportation Facility, the Lytle ISD 2024 Bond construction project is progressing well.
Approved by voters in May 2024, the $20.6 million bond is allowing the district to make needed improvements while investing in future growth. Major projects included in the bond are:
• Addition of Classroom Spaces at Primary School
• Gym Addition at Primary School
• Parking Addition/Relocation at Primary School
• Playground Improvements at Elementary School
• District Transportation Center Addition and Maintenance
To let the Primary School students keep track of the progress and see their new classrooms taking shape, Marksmen Construction created porthole windows in one wall of the existing Primary building. Students get to watch as up to 28 crew members work on the site each day pouring cement, putting up steel, completing framing and installing pipes.
If you would like to follow the progress on the project, visit the 2024 Bond Election web page for regular bond construction updates.
