Lytle ISD Showcase of Student Work Invitation

Pirate Pride Shines at 8th Annual Lytle ISD Showcase of Student Work

More than 1,000 staff, parents, and community members filled the halls of Lytle High School on Wednesday, May 14, from 4–6 p.m. for the 8th Annual Showcase of Student Work. The event highlighted the incredible learning journey of our students — spanning from Pre-K all the way to seniors who graduate with Associate’s Degrees.

The energy was electric as students shared their projects with visitors. Everyone agreed — the best part of the evening was hearing directly from the students themselves, who confidently presented their work and explained what they had learned. Their passion and knowledge made a lasting impression on parents, teachers, and community members alike.

Following the event, Lytle ISD Curriculum and Instruction Director Juliana Lingo shared her gratitude for all who helped make the evening possible:

Teachers – for their creativity, commitment, and the high-quality projects that wowed the community.

Students – for their excitement and clear presentations, which showed just how much effort they put into their learning.

Maintenance, Operations, and Custodial staff – for ensuring the building looked its best and that more than 50 tables were set up and ready for student displays and presentations.

Academic Coaches – for guiding teachers with project design and event logistics.

Leadership Team – for their continued support and commitment to excellence.

"Our community members were especially impressed by the students' clear presentations and their understanding of the subjects they discussed," Mrs. Lingo said. "It’s clear our students' hard work paid off, and they were excited to showcase their learning!"

The evening served as a true celebration of Pirate Pride—showing not only what our students are capable of, but also the strength of the partnerships between our schools, families, and community.
