Lytle Junior High Band students took part in their first competition of the year on Jan. 19. I am pleased to announce the selection of our JH All-Region Band members. The following Pirates made one of the two bands:
Flute - Aubrey Olivarez, Second Chair Symphonic Band
Bass Clarinet - Elizabeth Gonzalez, Fourth Chair Symphonic Band
Percussion - Marina Gonzales, Third Chair Symphonic B; and Nolan Ruiz-Olguin, Seventh Chair Symphonic Band
Alto Sax - Haleigh Monreal, First Alternate Concert Band
Tenor Sax - Lillian Vega, Second Chair Concert Band
French Horn - Eddiel Serra Morales, First Chair Concert Band
Baritone - Hemi Vaughn, Second Chair Concert Band
The band directors are very proud of our students and the work they put in. They will be performing in a Clinic and Concert on Feb. 21 in Somerset.
