This past Thursday on September 25th , the 7th grade football team traveled to Pearsall. The game turned into an absolute barnburner! In the first half Pearsall jumped out to a 14-6 lead. Then Lytle got everything rolling in the second half! With just a minute left Lytle got the ball back with the score 22-20. We began to move the ball down the field, however we came up short on Pearsall's 5-yard line and were unable to score to win the game, as time ran out. We are very proud of the way the 7th grade football team played. They showed true heart and determination, and a relentless effort to try and get their first victory on the year! The final score was 22-20 Pearsall. Nolan Ruiz scored 2 touchdowns, and he also converted on 2-point conversion. Shawn Sanchez also scored one touchdown. The 7th grade Lytle Pirates will enjoy a much-needed bye week for rest and recovery and then get ready for the first district game against Poteet next week on October 9th.
