It is always nice to deliver good news and it's a great day to share the victories of our 7th grade A& B teams against Natalia on Thursday, August 28.
Our B team came out and set the tone for the night. With Camille Gonzales putting up great serves and the other girls getting more confidant the victory was well deserved.
Our A team girls were a bit nervous in the 1st set and with all of the new parts of volleyball they are learning it is understandable. Our serves were a big struggle, however, Elizabeth Davenport showed up with some needed serves to help the girls pull out a 1st set win. We started the 2nd set a bit like the 1st but we called a timeout, regrouped, settled down, and went back out ready to play. This time the girls had crucial serves from everyone on the floor and we pulled off a great victory.
Our 7th graders are learning so much about volleyball and all that goes into the game. I am so proud of them and the way that they don't stop fighting.
We play next Thursday against Dilley here in Lytle and would love to see you all there.
Thank you,
