In the fall of 2025, Rowan Digital Infrastructure breaks ground on a data center on 440 acres of land in Medina County. Eager to collaborate with the Medina County community to build a high-value, low-impact facility that benefits the entire region, Rowan leaders reached out to Lytle ISD administrators to host an open house at our High School campus March 3, 2025. More than 230 people came out to have their questions answered one-on-one with members of the Rowan team.
"We believe it's a really important way to start this type of development because that two-way conversation can begin and you don't just wake up one day and see a project pop out of nowhere. As a company we want that type of deep collaboration. The community was very receptive to our work. We heard a lot of very positive comments, and of course, some who have concerns. These conversations allow us to work with our internal teams to modify site plans to address concerns proactively. We look for solutions," says Martin Romo, Senior Director of Economic Development and External Affairs. He adds, "This community has so many eyes on the project and folks involved. It's a testament to their passion and dedication in making sure all who come here are responsibly developing this area. All of us at Rowan look forward to deepening the relationships we have with both the ISD and other community partners moving forward."
In addition to bringing in food trucks to feed open house guests, Rowan recently became a Straight Flush sponsor of the Lytle Education Foundation's Poker Run happening this Saturday, June 7, 2025. Dr. Dustin Breithaupt, Superintendent of Lytle Schools says, "We have always valued our partnerships with local businesses, city officials, organizations and churches. These partnerships are more important than ever to our school district. Rowan's support of our Education Foundation's Poker Run fundraising event directly helps our educators to provide the best learning for our students."
