At Lytle ISD we are counting down to Thanksgiving Break by "launching" at the end of each day this week with words of love and gratitude from staff, students and community members. Starting with Monday, Day 5, we hear from Freshman Katherine Chuong who talks about how thankful she is to be a student at Lytle ISD. Katherine moved to Lytle from a school near Laredo, and at the time of this recording, she was finishing up her eighth-grade year. She has a lot to say about her success at Lytle, and gives thanks to Junior High Principal Mrs. Jennifer Sprenger and several of her teachers. Listen to Katherine's words and enjoy!
(Note: As of this year, Lytle ISD is a Capturing Kids' Hearts National Showcase District, so the term "launch" in our countdown is important. Within the Capturing Kids' Hearts program, a "Launch" is the intentional way a teacher ends a class session, providing positive closure and sending students off with a hopeful message, essentially concluding the lesson on a high note rather than just dismissing when the bell rings.)
