Thank you, Coach Bryan Bippert for sharing the details of this awesome win.
Adversity creates character and adversity creates opportunity
Your 7th grade Pirate football team traveled to Cole yesterday and came away with a convincing win. Cole dominated the 1st quarter by controlling the ball on offense the entire time. After a beautiful goal line stance by the defense led by fine plays from Colton Ward, Mason Elizondo, Noah Pierce and Isaiah Esquivel, the Pirate offense took over at the 3 - yard line. 6 plays later, Avery Vela ran 72 yards down the left side for a touchdown. The point after was no good.
Once again, the Pirate defense came up with a stop and forced the Cougars to punt. Three plays later, Avery Vela scored on a trap play down the left side behind fine blocking from Gustavo Mata, Madden Hernandez, Zarrian Muraira and Tevin Elliott. Point after was no good.
