Dear Lytle Students, Staff and Families,
I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that our Lytle Pirate Band has advanced to the UIL State Competition next week! This outstanding achievement reflects their incredible talent, dedication, and the unwavering support of our community. To ensure everyone has the chance to attend and cheer them on, we will close school on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, making it a holiday for students and staff alike.
Because we operate a very tight academic calendar, we’ll need to make up this day later in the school year. We’ve scheduled the make-up day for Monday, February 17, 2025 – Presidents’ Day. We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility in supporting this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students.
Please join me in congratulating our amazing band students and directors on reaching this milestone! I hope to see many of you at the Alamodome on Wednesday morning as we cheer on the Pirate Band during their preliminary performance at 10am.
