Lytle High School Art Department’s first showcase of the year is currently on display at Pirate’s Cove on Main Street through October 30. Students approached their art with one directive: capture the feeling of “longing” and did they ever! With 33 pieces of student art available, and many originals already sold, there’s the potential for almost $2000 to be raised. Plans are in the works to buy supplies and improvements for the art room, providing all 170 art students with canvas and clay to create 7 more full-scale art pieces this year and funding an Art Club trip to an interactive art museum in San Antonio. Some originals are still available, and you can still order prints of all the pieces - support our students for as little as $25!
