Some nights you're taken out to the back shed for an old fashioned “whoopin.” Unfortunately that's what the Owls did to our Eighth Grade Pirate Football Team Thursday night. Our team played with gusto the entire game and scored on a fake punt right before halftime to make the score 14-8. We got the ball to start the second half but just couldn’t get anything going. It was a back and forth affair. Last night, every one of our team members played and gave maximum effort. That’s all we coaches ever ask. Back to the drawing board to prepare to play the Cole Cougars next Thursday. Shout out to the Lytle faithful that came out to support these fine young men.
