Gosh! It looks like we found ourselves another mystery.

I referenced today's write-up because some classic Saturday Morning Cartoons inspired me! After arriving in Dilley on Thursday evening, November 30, 2023, we were faced with many obstacles that set the tone for the night. The first was said best by the Scooby-Doo gang!

The mystery was trying to figure out who was behind the black and white striped shirts!!! We thought they were impartial officials, but that was proven to be not the case. I guess Dilley had more Scooby Snacks to offer. The second was best described by our old pal Yosemite Sam!

Old Sam noticed that the bookkeeping was not a little off, but way off!!! When our Point Guard fouled out in the first half, (according to Dilly's book) but our book only had him for 3 fouls, we knew it was going to be a tough evening. As we got the lead, I was reminded from Rudy (The Fat Albert Gang) what it was like dealing with ornery and cantankerous people.

I am proud to say that our fans, parents, and players, handled themselves with class and style!!

When we arrived at the half the boys looked up and asked what Bugs Bunny always does,

We replied to them, What's up, is that we are going to go play our game in the second half, and no matter what, not give into them and play their style of ball, but Lytle style of ball!!! We played hard, fast, and with real determination, and we couldn't have been prouder of our boys!!  After a few adjustments at half time, we pulled off the 26-24 win!!

The entire team contributed to this win, which made it even sweeter!!

Coach Stewart had our 7th B team primed and ready, as he always does, but tonight they fell a little short, but not from lack of effort, falling to the wolves 26-16. We love these boys and love their effort!!! Come support them this Thursday here at Lytle vs the Hondo Owls.
