The 2026 Baseball season was one for the record books for Lytle High School. Lytle baseball enjoyed a great season finishing with 27 wins, 8 Losses and 1 tie. Our 27 wins are the most wins ever since the beginning of the Lytle baseball program in 1981, shattering the previous record of 22 wins set by the Lytle teams of 2018, 2021 and 2025.
During this special season, the 2026 Pirates put together an 18-game win streak. This, too, is a team record and a testament to the consistency and grit of this fine baseball team.
The Senior baseball class of 2026, which includes Devin Cordova, Toby Davila, Damien Barco, Juan Patlan, Travis Norton, Lee Mills and Chase Guevara, earned 4 District Championships, 4 Bi-District Championships and 2 Area Championships throughout their career. No other baseball class that has ever come through Lytle can say that.
Devin Cordova, Toby Davila, Damien Barco, Juan Patlan and Travis Norton are 4-year lettermen that started at their position for their entire high school career. These guys are tremendous baseball players and will be sorely missed. Their record over their 4 years of High School baseball is 83 wins - 30 losses - 2 ties.
Thank you to all of our fans for your tremendous support throughout this season. We are extremely proud of our accomplishments. We know that we are not perfect, but we hope that we have represented our school with pride and class.
