National Honor Society induction ceremony

Lytle High School National Honor Society (NHS) welcomed 23 new members during a special induction ceremony held May 13 at the high school auditorium.

The ceremony highlighted the four pillars of NHS — scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Current NHS members read descriptions of each pillar while lighting candles to symbolize their importance and commitment to the organization’s values.

NHS President Klayre Cook then lit a candle for each new inductee and led the students in the NHS pledge. The ceremony concluded with the new members signing their names to officially join the organization.

The induction marked an important achievement for the students as they committed to upholding the values and traditions of the National Honor Society through academic excellence, leadership, service, and strong character.
