The Lytle Pirates Baseball team had a lot to celebrate this evening. They received the District Championship trophy, they recognized their parents and they celebrated their seniors – and for a little something extra, they defeated Natalia 14-4 and ended their regular season undefeated in district play.
The Pirates are now four-time District Champs and are headed to Bi-District Playoffs starting April 30 in Somerset. They will take on the Great Hearts Northern Oaks team starting at 7 p.m. The playoffs will continue in Somerset on May 1 at 4:30 p.m. and the final game will take place 30 minutes after the 4:30 p.m. game.
Congratulations to seniors Chase Guevara, Damien Barco, Toby Davila, Travis Norton, Lee Mills, Juan Patlan, and Devin Cordova, and trainer Martina Ytuarte.
