We close our tennis season with heavy hearts, but even greater pride in a year defined by growth, grit, and success.
Our junior mixed doubles teams—Lilly Evans and Anthony Stewart, along with Rosendo Gonzalez and sophomore Jazzy Carrillo—competed with confidence and showed tremendous growth while representing our district with pride. Our senior boys’ doubles team, Noah Mercer and Frank Ng, quickly came together and battled strong against seasoned Regional Qualifiers from Hondo. On the girls’ side, Kellyahn Castano and Janelle Young fought hard and rallied with determination against Crystal City.
At the Junior Varsity (JV) District level, our athletes delivered an outstanding showing: Macey Ford (first) and Mikayla Mata (second) in Girls’ Singles, Emiliano Cardenas earning a hard-fought second in Boys’ Singles, and the dynamic duos of Robin Alvarado and Emma Hemenway (first), and Mia Rollins and Melanie Suarez (second). I could not be prouder or more honored to witness such excellence across our JV team.
While the season ends, the pride, momentum, and promise of this program carry forward.
