Pirates baseball was finally back home after a long road trip, dating all the way back to February, and gave the home crowd an 11-2 win over Crystal City.
Weston Jackson and Toby Davila combined to throw a 1-hitter. Jackson picked up the win, his second for the year. Damien Barco led all hitters going 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored, and 2 walks. Juan Patlan and Seth Pierce both had 2 hits. Travis Norton was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI. Overall, the Pirates racked up 12 hits as a team spread out over 9 players.
Lytle Baseball will travel next to Natalia today, April 2, to wrap up the first round of District play. The Pirates are 4-0 in District and 17-6-1 overall.
The Lytle JV will play Natalia at 5 p.m. The Varsity will start at 7 p.m.
