The boys Powerlifting team took part in the Cotulla Invitational on Jan. 28 and six of them brought home medals. The boys competed against 60 lifters at the meet.
Medal winners include:
Senior Evan Syma earned first place in the 114 weight class with a total of 535 pounds.
Senior Jaden Araujo earned third place in the 123 weight class with a total of 825 pounds.
Freshman Brayden Robinette earned second place in the 132 weight class with a total of 660 pounds.
Senior Thomas Rubal earned first place in the 165 weight class with a total of 1,050 pounds.
Senior Noah Smoot earned third place in the 181 weight class with a total of 1,310 pounds.
Senior Isaac Ytuarte earned third place in the 198 weight class with a total of 1,250 pounds.

The girls team will travel to Dilley on Feb. 4 for the invitational meet at 5 p.m. Tickets will be available to digitally purchase on the Dilley athletics site.
