Lytle ISD Welcomes Roxanne Jenke as the New Primary Assistant Principal

Lytle ISD is proud to announce Roxanne Jenke as the new Assistant Principal for our Primary Campus. With over 25 years of experience in public education, Mrs. Jenke brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a deep commitment to student success and literacy.

Her educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, followed by advanced certifications and degrees from Sam Houston State University and Lamar University. She holds multiple certifications, including Principal, Master Reading Teacher, Gifted and Talented, and School Librarian.

Mrs. Jenke’s career has included roles as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, and library media specialist. She has served in leadership roles across multiple districts, including as Assistant Principal at Hardy Oak Elementary and most recently as the Librarian at Marshall High School. Throughout her career, she has championed literacy, innovation, and student engagement—creating programs like “Loved Ones in the Library,” daily video announcements, and district-wide literacy celebrations.

She is a seasoned presenter, having shared her expertise at the Texas Library Association Conference, Region 20 events, and other professional education platforms. Her accolades include multiple Teacher of the Year awards, an NEISD Outstanding Service award, and a Texas Commission on the Arts Grant.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Jenke to our Pirate family and look forward to the positive impact she will make in her new leadership role at the Primary Campus.
