Please read this safety update April 29, 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This afternoon, an elementary student responsibly reported to administration that another student may have brought a weapon to school. Due to today's early release schedule, the student of concern was already on a bus headed home when the report was received. Our School Resource Officer immediately intervened, safely stopping the bus en route. The student was removed from the bus, and upon a search of the backpack, a small knife and a BB gun (with no BBs) were found.

We want to commend the student who came forward—this is a powerful reminder of the importance of our "See Something, Say Something" message. Their courage and quick action allowed us to respond swiftly and appropriately.

We encourage all students, parents, and staff to remain vigilant and to report anything that may compromise the safety of our school community. Your partnership is vital in helping us maintain a secure and supportive learning environment.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.
