The Lytle Pirates are filled with pride in Lytle High School coach and teacher, Jay Tope who fulfills a lifelong dream of appearing on the Wheel of Fortune game show beginning Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Students and staff wish him well and plan to gather for a "Wheel Watch Party" to enjoy Coach Tope's dream-come-true as a community. Special thanks to KENS 5 News Reporter Mike Jimenez who said he was happy to make the trip to Lytle to cover the story, because, well, he's from here! Mr. Jimenez graduated from Lytle with the Class of 1997, and has enjoyed his career in television news since about the age of 27. KENS-5 Videographer Albert Monrroy also did an amazing job setting up his camera and lights for the interview so our Lady Pirate Softball team could be seen working hard in the background of Coach Tope's interview.
