Lytle High School students Kaelyn Vega and Olivia Cherry have passed the Certified EKG Technician exam, marking an important achievement as they prepare for potential careers in health care.
The students are part of Lytle High School’s new Health Sciences program, offered in conjunction with Goodwill Industries. The program gives students opportunities to develop practical skills and earn credentials that support their future education and career goals.
Passing the certification exam requires dedicated preparation, technical knowledge, and an understanding of the heart’s electrical activity and electrocardiogram procedures. Meeting these professional expectations while completing high school coursework makes Vega’s and Cherry’s accomplishments especially noteworthy.
EKG technicians perform tests that record the heart’s electrical activity, helping health care providers evaluate heart function. Earning this certification is a meaningful step toward entering the health care field.
Lytle ISD congratulates Kaelyn and Olivia on their hard work, determination, and success.
