Your Lady Pirates defeated the Varsity Owls in four sets on Oct. 16. Another big win clinches a great spot in the playoffs!!! The hard work, determination, and fight this team brings every match is paying off! The girls are building momentum at the perfect time, and they’re not done yet! What a great night in Hondo.

JV 2 and JV1 also defeated Hondo.

The win against Hondo came on the heels of the team beating Natalia in three sets on Oct. 13. After a brief lineup mix-up threw things off, the girls turned up the intensity, regrouped, and came roaring back! They refused to let the setback shake them, showed their resilience, and took control to seal the win in three straight sets! 25-12, 25-15, 25-19. The energy, determination, and fight this team showed were something special.

When things got tough, these girls stepped up, trusted each other, and got the job done!

The girls will have one more district game this Friday, Oct. 23, against Devine. Game time is 5 p.m. at home. They are now 8-3 in district play. The postseason awaits!
