Lytle ISD students and community members will benefit from more than $50,000 in grants from Rowan Digital Infrastructure to support the Mighty Pirate Band, the Lytle Robotics Club and the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

The awards are part of Rowan’s Community Catalyst Program, which is providing more than $92,000 in grants to the Lytle community and an additional $10,000 to the Natalia community.

The Mighty Pirate Band will receive $40,000 toward a new trailer to transport instruments and equipment to away games and competitions. A $10,000 grant will help the Robotics Club purchase equipment and practice materials and cover competition registration and travel expenses.

An additional $700 will support the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner, hosted by Lytle ISD and the City of Lytle, helping provide meals for 300 area residents.

“Rowan’s generosity is creating opportunities for our students to learn, compete and represent Lytle with pride,” said Lytle ISD Superintendent Dr. Dustin Breithaupt. “From supporting our band and robotics students to helping bring neighbors together for a Thanksgiving meal, these investments will make a meaningful difference across our community. We are grateful for Rowan’s continued partnership.”

Beyond the grants to the district, Lytle ISD students will benefit from Rowan’s investment of $1,500 in the Lytle Agricultural Student Support Organization, which supports local 4-H and FFA youth, and $40,000 in Lytle Little League for its baseball and softball programs.
