Front gate of Ramos property

Lytle ISD is planning for the future with the recent acquisition of two properties that will support district operations, student learning and continued growth.

The district recently acquired the Ramos property, located at the corner of FM 2790 and Laredo Street, at a tremendous value to taxpayers. The 8.76-acre property includes four existing structures and offers exciting possibilities for both immediate and future use.

The district’s medium-term vision includes providing enhanced space for the Operations Department, creating hands-on learning opportunities for Lytle High School Construction students and developing additional parking. Long-term plans include investing in the property’s existing infrastructure and preserving valuable space for future district growth.

Lytle ISD also acquired property on Ruiz-Foster Way adjacent to the football stadium this summer. Once improvements can be made, the site will provide additional parking for football games and community events. The district is awaiting a donation of topping material from TxDOT that is expected to become available through the FM 2790 improvement project.

These acquisitions reflect Lytle ISD’s commitment to responsible planning, wise use of taxpayer resources and preparing today for the needs of tomorrow. With room to learn, build and grow, the future is bright for Lytle Pirate Nation!
