Lytle ISD recently received its accountability ratings for the 2025-2026 school year. While Lytle High School and Lytle Junior High School saw increases in their scores, Lytle Elementary School experienced a significant decline, which brought down the district’s overall rating. The chart below provides a look at our campus and district results.

We want our families, staff and community to know that we take these results seriously.

We saw encouraging improvement in our students’ MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) scores last school year, and that growth is significant. However, the state Accountability Rating, which relies heavily on STAAR performance, is a very important measure of student success. We are committed to addressing the areas where improvement is needed and ensuring our students have the support and instruction necessary to succeed.

We have already taken significant steps to strengthen academic outcomes at Lytle Elementary School:

• Enhanced campus leadership to provide stronger support for academic growth and improvement.

• Increased the number of TIA-recognized teachers

  at the Elementary campus, placing more of our highly effective educators where their experience can have a significant impact.

• Implementing a Comprehensive Support Plan

  to identify specific areas for growth, establish targeted strategies and closely monitor progress.

• Expanded academic coaching and support

  through Engage2Learn, giving Elementary teachers dedicated access to our academic partners for coaching, collaboration and greater insight into which instructional practices and initiatives are producing the strongest results.

Improvement will take focused work and a shared commitment. We have dedicated teachers and staff throughout Lytle ISD who are ready to make a difference for every student.

As a district and as a community, we pledge to support our educators, hold ourselves accountable and continue working toward stronger academic outcomes for all Lytle ISD students.

Our students deserve our very best, and we are committed to doing the work necessary to help them succeed.
