Football season is almost here, and the Lytle Pirates are ready to take the field.

The 2026 season officially begins on Friday, Aug. 28, as the Pirates travel to Medina Valley Creek View for their season opener. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the team is looking to start the year strong.

Pirate fans won't have to wait long for football under the lights at home. The first home game is set for Friday, Sept. 4, when the Pirates host San Diego at 7 p.m. The evening will also feature Parents Night, recognizing the families who support Pirate football throughout the season.

Pirate Nation is encouraged to come out, wear black and gold, and cheer on the team all season long.
