Top 10 Seniors

Seniors in Lytle High School Class of 2026 have garnered more than $2.3 million in scholarships, six have earned associate degrees, 15 received certifications, more than 100 received recognition for excellence in College, Career or Military Ready focused programs, and 80 received dual college credit. Seniors were recognized during a special Awards Ceremony held May 27.

Lytle Top 10 Graduates
The following are Lytle High School’s Top 10 academically ranked seniors:

1. Valedictorian Isabella Sewell will be attending Columbia University in the fall majoring in Neuroscience. She received approximately $400,000 from Columbia University, and the Lytle State Bank Valedictorian Scholarship of $750.

2. Salutatorian Klayre Cook will be attending Texas Lutheran University (TLU) majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She received the Regents Scholarship from TLU of $112,000, the Atascosa Cattleman's Association Scholarship of $500, the Edward Geyer Scholarship of $2,000, the A1 First-Generation Entrepreneurs Scholarship of $1,000, the Legacy Bowl Scholarship of $1,000, the LASSO Scholarship of $500, the James Harshman Memorial Scholarship of $1,000, and the Lytle State Bank - Salutatorian Scholarship of $550. Although she will not be attending these schools, Klayre also was offered scholarships from Dallas Baptist University - Presidential Scholarship of $72,000, University of Texas at San Antonio UTSA - Presidential Scholarship of $20,000, Texas A&M Corpus Christi - Presidential Scholarship of $16,000, Stephen F Austin - Academic Excellence of $24,000, Texas State University - President's Honor Scholarship of $48,000, Southwestern University - Cody Scholar Award of $144,000, and UNLV Grant of $3,000.

3. Annika Robles has Enlisted in the United States Air Force Security Forces. She received the Lytle State Bank - 3rd Highest Ranking Scholarship of $400.

4. Gabriela Cortez will be attending University of Texas in Austin (UT) majoring in Kinesiology Health Promotion and Behavioral Science. She received the UT Dean's Promising Scholar Award of $48,000, the Devine Area Thrift Store award of $3,000, and the James Harshman Memorial Scholarship of $1000.

5. Koby Lara will be attending Texas A&M University Kingsville and majoring in Chemical Engineering. He received the James Harshman Memorial Scholarship of $1,000

6. Frances Scotello will be attending the University of Nevada in Las Vegas (UNLV) majoring in Event Management and Hospitality. She received the UNLV Signature award of $44,000, the UNLV Eunice Borgeson Scholarship of $4,000, the UNLV Honors Sastaunik Scholarship of $4,000, the UNLV Hotel Coll Minority Endowment of $2,000, and the Roy Edward's Honesty and Integrity Award of $500.

7. Karyme Cabrera will be attending the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and majoring in Electrical Engineering.

8. Diego Reyna will be attending the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) majoring in Business Administration. He the UIW Presidential Scholarship of $88,000, the DezMarie Ortega Memorial Scholarship of $950, the TXN Bank Scholarship of $500, the Atascosa Masonic Lodge #379 Achievement Scholarship of $1,000, and the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Award of $1,000.

9. Taryn McDonald will be attending Stephen F. Austin University (SFA) and majoring in Music Education. She received the SFA Excellence Scholarship of $20,000, the SFA Music Scholarship of $8,000, the Atascosa Masonic Lodge #379 Achievement Scholarship of $1,000, the James Harshman Memorial Scholarship of $1,000, the Lytle Ex Student Scholarship of $1,000, the Peter R. Marsh Foundation's Silent Servant Scholarship Award of $595, and the Robbie Robertson Memorial Scholarship from First Baptist Church Devine of $2,500.

10. Lucas Salazar will be attending Texas A&M University College Station (TAMU) majoring in Forensic Investigative Science.

Analicia Aguilar received the University of the Incarnate Word Provost Scholarship of $17,000 over four years, the St. Mary's University Madeleine Scholarship of $22,000 over four years, and the Baylor University Merit-Based Scholarship of $60,000 over four years.

Bridget Casias received the LASSO Scholarship of $500.

Devin Cordova received the Ottawa University Baseball Scholarship of $30,000 yearly, the Legacy Bowl Scholarship of $1,000, and the Miriam Lovelace Scholarship - Greater Lytle Area Chamber of Commerce of $1,000.

Nadia Daniels received the Texas A&M Kingsville Academic Excellence Scholarship of $16,000, and the Texas A&M Kingsville Marching Band $4,000 scholarship.

Giselle Esparza received the Texas A&M Kingsville Texas Grant of $5,000 renewable every year, the Texas A&M University Kingsville Academic Excellence Award of $3,000 renewable every year, the Texas A&M Univeristy Kingsville Javalina Promise – full paid tuition scholarship, the TXN Bank Scholarship of $500, the Valero Alamo Bowl Scholarship of $7,500, the Miriam Lovelace Scholarship - Greater Lytle Area Chamber of Commerce of $1,000 and the South Texas Ministerial Fellowship Scholarship of $1,000. She also was awarded the Texas State University Texas Grant of $5,000 yearly, the Texas State University Federal SEOG Grant of $2,000 yearly, and the Texas State University Texas State Merit Scholarship of $4,000.

Chase Guevara received the Texas Lutheran University Presidential Scholarship of $26,000, and the South Texas Coaches Association Scholarship of $1,000. He also was awarded the McPherson College Football Scholarship of $24,000.

Daniel Herrera received the James Harshman Memorial Scholarship of $1,000.

Christopher Jacques received the Howard Payne University Yellow Jacket Merit Scholarship of $58,000, and the Ridin the River Fellowship Scholarship of $1,000.

Isaiah Leven received the University of the Incarnate Word Presidential Scholarship of $88,000.

Nadia Martinez received the Sweet and Simple Scholarship of $1,500, The 100 Bold Points Scholarship of $1,000, and the Life Lesson Scholarship of $7,500.

Janelle Massiate received the Bobby McConathy Memorial Scholarship of $1,000.

Jonathan Massiate received the Texas A&M University Corpus Christi Institutional Islander Scholarship of $1,500 per semester.

Travis Norton received the Texas Tech Presidential Merit Scholarship of $6,000, the Angelo State University Distinguished Scholarship of $12,000, and the Angelo State University John C. Coleman Scholarship of $500.

Anissa Perez received the North East Texas Community College Athletic Scholarship of $8,000, and the Edward Guyer Memorial Scholarship of $2,000.

Thomas Rubal received the National Army ROTC Scholarship four-year full tuition, books and monthly stipend award of approximately $220,000, the St. Mary’s University Presidential Scholarship of $36,000, the Roy Edward's Honesty and Integrity Award of $500, and the Military Officers of America Association Alamo Chapter 'Let's Go' JROTC Scholarship of $1,000. He also was awarded the University of Texas at San Antonio Distinguished Presidential Scholarship of $10,000, the University of the Incarnate Word Presidential Scholarship of $88,000, Sul Ross/Texas A&M Corp Scholarship of $2,400, Tarleton State University Scholarship of $2,000, and the Texas Armed Services Scholarship of $120,000.

Collin Sprenger received the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Award of $8,000, the St. Paul Lutheran Scholarship of $1,500, Texas A&M Foundation Scholarship of $700, the Atascosa County A&M Club Scholarship of $1,000, Rotary Club of Medina County Scholarship of $1,000, Peter R. Marsh Foundation's Silent Servant Scholarship Award of $595, and the Walter Joyce Memorial Scholarship (Lytle State Bank) of $500. He also was awarded a Baylor University Scholarship of $100,000, Texas Tech Scholarship of $32,000, Texas A&M Kingsville Scholarship of $12,000, Tarleton State University Scholarship of $12,000, and University of Texas at San Antonio Scholarship of $2,000.

is three-year member of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad, and has been a productive member of the Lytle Band since sixth grade and has made major contributions in the Pirate Band.

Texas Music Scholar Award
