Parents and family members of Lytle ISD students receiving special education services gathered on May 13 for an evening focused on information, support, and collaboration. Hosted by the Lytle ISD Special Education Department, the meeting provided families with an opportunity to learn more about the resources and support available through the district while also making connections and sharing feedback to help strengthen services for students.
Throughout the evening, families connected with district staff, asked questions, and shared personal experiences about the impact of special education services on their children’s growth and success.
Several parents expressed appreciation for the support their students have received at Lytle ISD. One parent, who recently moved to the district, shared that it was the first time she truly felt her child was being fully supported in school. Another parent thanked staff for the years of encouragement and assistance provided to her child and spoke about the tremendous growth she has witnessed over time.
The Special Education Department values family input and plans to continue hosting similar meetings next school year to strengthen partnerships with families and ensure students continue receiving the support they need to succeed.
