Lytle Baseball finished a perfect 10-0 in District 28AAA defeating the Natalia Mustangs 14-4 on April 22. The Pirates racked up 13 hits in 5 innings. Leading the way was Devin Cordova who went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Travis Norton and Weston Jackson both collected 2 hits. Juan Patlan had 3 RBIs. Travis Norton was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, and Damien Barco was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.
Toby Davila earned the win for the Pirates on the mound. Davila struck out 6 and gave up 2 runs in 3 innings of work. He was relieved in the fourth by Ethan Elizondo. Elizondo gave up 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 3.
With this win, the 2026 Lytle Baseball team set a record for the most wins in a season with 23.
Lytle will play Great Hearts Northern Oaks in the Bi-District round next week in Somerset.
