Volunteer with student in garden

Students in a Lytle ISD Life Skills class celebrated Earth Day with support from volunteers from Turner Construction, FlatironDragados, and Rowan Digital Infrastructure.

The group visited the Junior High campus and worked side-by-side with students to improve the courtyard garden. Volunteers brought plants, supplies, and gardening expertise, helping students plant drought-tolerant perennials, remove weeds, and clean up the garden area.

The project not only enhanced the courtyard, but also gave students meaningful opportunities to practice teamwork, responsibility, and life skills in a real-world setting—while celebrating Earth Day through service and stewardship.
