Lytle baseball players in game against Hondo

The Lytle Baseball Team captured the District Championship with a 6-0 win over Hondo at home on April 14.

Weston Jackson threw a 1-hit shutout and picked up the win versus Hondo. Jackson struck out 7 and allowed 3 walks in 7 innings. Lytle took the early lead in the first after a 2-out walk by Toby Davila followed by a line drive over the centerfielder's head by Mason Hill.   

The Pirates scored 3 runs in the third inning. Travis Norton drew a walk, Weston Jackson was hit by a pitch. Toby Davila hit a long single over the left fielder's head. After an intentional walk and 2 wild pitches, Devin Cordova drove in a run putting the Pirates up by 4.


Lytle added 2 more runs in the sixth off of singles by Devin Cordova and Damien Barco.

Junior Varsity Defeats Hondo 3-0
The Lytle Junior Varsity Baseball Team took on Hondo on April 13 coming away with a 3-0 win.

Freshman Tim Soto threw his first no-hitter. Jayson Fuentes was the catcher.

The team improved their district record to 5-0.
