With a cool north wind blowing all night, the Lytle Baseball team earned a great win in Hondo on March 27 taking down the Owls 15-6. After a big 7-run first inning, Lytle was led by Devin Cordova on the mound. Devin threw 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and struck out 8, earning him his seventh win of the season. Devin was relieved by Weston Jackson.
Weston Jackson led all hitters going 2 for 4 with 4 RBI and a triple. Damien Barco collected 3 hits with 1 RBI. Travis Norton, Juan Patlan and Devin Cordova each had 2 hits.
Overall, the Pirates are now 3 - 0 in district play. Lytle will host Crystal City today, March 31, at 4:30 pm in Lytle. Hope to see you there!
