The JV tennis team returned to the courts March 20th at the Medina Valley Tournament, shaking off some post-Spring Break rust. Though the day started with sluggish play and missed opportunities, the team showed resilience and determination.
Leading the charge were Marlan Vasquez and Faviola Jimenez, whose chemistry was tested after a long break from playing together. Despite the challenge, the duo found their rhythm and battled their way to the consolation finals. Though they ultimately fell to the host team, their grit and teamwork throughout the day were commendable.
While the tournament revealed some post-break blues, it also highlighted the team’s potential to overcome setbacks and fight through adversity. With more time on the court, the JV squad is sure to regain their sharpness and continue to improve.
