I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the incredible people I get to work alongside each day. In my absence, both our coaches and athletes stepped up in ways that remind me why I am so proud to be part of this district.
Our Lytle Junior High volleyball teams responded with determination and heart, earning well-deserved victories over the Hondo Owls. Both the A and B teams showcased teamwork and resilience that made me proud even from afar.
On the B team, Natalie Heickman and Nadiah Gutierrez worked tirelessly with their teammates to secure a win. For the A team, Bailey Lindsey and Priscilla Martinez stood out as all-around players, stepping up when their team needed them most. Isabella Trammel also shined with two fantastic kills off of tips, sparking energy and momentum for her teammates. Every player gave their best effort, and it showed on the court.
I also want to extend a very special thanks to Tammy Tilley and Shelley Armentrout. They went beyond simply being colleagues and truly stepped in for me with such generosity and commitment. Their support means more than words can say.
To the athletes, the coaches, and my colleagues; thank you for proving that teamwork, dedication, and community make us stronger together.
And to many of you who have reached out with prayers and encouragement for my mom I appreciate you and those prayers greatly.
