When the Robotics program needed funds to pay entry fees for this year's competitions, we were fortunate to be asked by Eliezer Martinez at Lytle Tire if their business could help us out with anything. They happily donated the full $595 for our program to cover the national First league as well as the First in Texas league. The owners of Lytle Tire are both engineers who didn't have the benefit of a robotics program when they were in school. Mr. Martinez says, "We believe Robotics is a very important class to teach kids and encourage them to take a path towards a field in engineering. And, learning programming can lead to a career that has huge earning potential." Our Lytle Robotics students are so thankful for the monetary help to officially join the leagues. The team competed in San Antonio at a recent meet and came in 4th place out of 13 teams. We appreciate Lytle Tire - their local business and community support enables us to look forward to a successful season.
Thank you,
Mr. Andrew Oser
