First qualifiers.
Congrats to our 3200m runners at Area. We were the only school out of 4 districts to have all 6 runners make it to Area.
All 6 set Season Bests with 5 of those being PERSONAL BESTS!
We had 2 girls go under 12 and 2 boys go under 10. We have never had that happen.
Unfortunately we are in a very tough area and only 3 will advance.
Both freshman put up great times but both missed out one place from advancing.
Elyse had the biggest improvement going from a PR of 12:50 to 11:44 battling 2 other outstanding freshman. That time in all the other areas would have gotten her into the next round.
Great job by all of these athletes and good luck to Diego Reyna, Johnny Alvarez and Frances Scotello as they advance to regionals.
