Lytle Junior High Baseball Resuts vs Charlotte

The Lytle Junior High Pirates 7th grade baseball squad picked up a solid 9-5 win over Charlotte on Monday, April 21, 2025.

The Pirates came out swinging in the top of the first inning. Kason kicked things off with a double down the left field line, followed by a single from Jagger and an RBI groundout by Zane. Ethan capped off the inning with a single to center, helping LJH jump to an early lead with three runs.

An error in the third inning helped the Pirates extend their lead to 5-3, but Charlotte answered back in the bottom half to tie it up.

LJH responded quickly in the fourth. Kason delivered again with a go-ahead RBI single, and Jagger followed with a clutch double to drive in more runs, giving the Pirates a 9-5 lead they wouldn’t give up.

Jagger picked up the win on the mound, tossing a clean inning with three strikeouts and no walks. Kason started the game, allowing just one hit and one earned run over one inning. Ethan came in for relief and threw a scoreless frame with two strikeouts.

At the plate, Jagger led the charge with two hits and three RBIs. Both he and Kason went 2-for-3, providing a strong one-two punch in the lineup. The Pirates showed great discipline, drawing eight walks—Chase and Andres each drawing two. Jase added some speed on the base paths, swiping two bases.

It was a complete team effort and a strong showing from the 7th grade Lytle Junior High Pirates!

The boys ended with an over all record 6-3.
