After a shaky start by Lytle of 4 walks, 1 hit and 1 error, the Pirates fell behind 4 - 0 in the first inning. The Pirates were able to cut into the lead in the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs on a leadoff walk by Devin Cordova, a double by Juan Patlan, a sacrifice fly by Weston Jackson and 2 Natalia errors. Lytle tied things up in the 5th inning on a sacrifice fly by Nicholas Pacheco scoring Devin Cordova. The Pirates extended their lead in the 6th inning on a ground ball from Jair Flores that scored Colin Wood. But the story of the game was the fine pitching performance of Nicholas Pacheco. "Nico" came in relief in the 1st inning and calmed the storm. Pacheco threw 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Toby Davila came in relief in the 7th inning to earn a save.
