High School District UIL Academic Meet Results

Saturday, March 29, 2025, the High School Academic Team competed at the District Meet in Dilley. We were a small team and only competed in 5 events with just 8 students. Despite our size, everyone medaled, and almost everyone is advancing to Regional competition on April 26 at Davenport High School. They competed hard, and represented Lytle High School with pride. Please give them a shout out when you see them!

These are our results.

Spelling: Tammy McDonald coached the first place team advancing to Regionals for the third ear in a row. Taryn McDonald 1st place advancing for third year in a row, Gabby Cortez 3rd place advancing for third year, Jazlyn Carrillo 4th place advancing, and Katherine Chuong, 5th place advancing.

Math: Alberto Salazar coached the 2nd place team and alternate/wild card for Regionals. Anthony Guevara 1st place advancing to Regionals for third year in a row, Isabella Sewell 5th place and Katelyn Stech 15th place.

Number Sense: Alberto Salazar coached Isabella Sewel 2nd place advancing to Regionals and Anthony Guevara 6th place.

Social Studies: Joe Lytle coached Thomas Rubal 1st Place, advancing to Regionals for the 3rd year in a row. Currently, Thomas has the 3rd highest score in the region and he hopes to return to state after just missing last year.

Special thanks to Ruben Gonzalez, Tammy McDonald, and Alberto Salazar for coaching and running events at district.

Thank You and Have a Great Day!
