Boys Powerlifting Last Chance Qualifier Meet

Thursday, February 19, 2025, we took a team of boy lifters to Natalia to compete in the last meet of the season known as the “Last Chance Qualifier.” The meet featured just under 60 lifters and three racks, allowing coaches and wrappers to give their full attention to each athlete. With regional spots on the line, lifters took bold jumps and pushed their limits, knowing this was their last chance to qualify. Boys must rank in the top 12 of their weight class within their division to advance. Senior LUKE ESTRADA is currently ranked high enough in standing that he is REGIONAL QUALIFIED. Several of our other lifters are on the bubble, but we’ll have to wait until next Tuesday to see who officially made the cut.

ACTUAL results:

  • Junior Jaden Araujo placed 3rd in the 114 weight class.

  • Senior Luke Estrada placed 1st in the 148 weight class.

  • Junior Thomas Rubal placed 2nd in the 165 weight class.

  • Junior Christopher Jacques placed 3rd in the 181 weight class.

Luke Estrada earned Best Overall Lightweight lifter!
