The girls traveled down to Crystal City on Tuesday and played a good Crystal City team 55-29. It is always tough to play in their gym but I was proud of the way the girls responded we just had to many turnovers. We scored 24 points in the paint most of our scoring this year has come from our post kids. We picked up 37 defensive rebounds. Leading the team was
Arianna Garcia with a double double 14 points 10 rebounds
Lunna Reyes 9 points 21 rebounds
Valentina Ayala 2 points 3 rebounds
Aliana Cardenas 2 points 2 rebounds
Mia Rollins 2 points 2 rebounds
The girls took a loss Friday to Hondo 49-29 we played a great first half going into the half only down by five. We scored 14 of our points in the paint and did get 14 steals on defense. Hondo got hot from the 3 point line in the second half and we just could not recover to catch up. The girls fought until the end and never gave up. We played with 7 players again we just cannot get a full squad suited up for a game this year. Its frustrating but the girls keep fighting and we will continue to fight these last three games.
Leading the team was Lunna Reyes with 9 points 20 rebounds
Aliana Cardenas 9 points 6 rebounds
Arianna Garcia 8 points 8 rebounds
Mia Rollins 2 points 1 rebound
Valentina Ayala 1 point
The girls faced Cotulla Monday, January 20, 2025. Due to the weather and picked up another good win beating them 37-30. Our defense again stepped up and we scored 20 points in the paint. The guards are doing a better job of getting the ball inside which then creates shots for them on the outside. This was another great team win. We are now suiting up 7 girls with Valentina back with us and we may get Zabella back on Friday. The girls continue to fight each game and we are so proud of them.
Leading the team was Arianna Garcia with a double double 20 points and 16 rebounds
Aliana Cardenas 11 points 6 rebounds
Mia Rollins 4 points 2 rebounds
Lunna Reyes 2 points 24 rebounds
Loundyn Perez 2 points 1 assist
The girls traveled to Poteet Friday, January 17, 2025. Previously, we had lost to them the first round so we wanted to prove something Friday night and wow the girls came out on fire beating Poteet 41-20. I was proud of the girls and the way they responded we outscored Poteet in every quarter. We scored 30 points in the paint and our post players both played great games. Our defense has really stepped up with having such few players heathy right now.
Leading the team was Senior Lunna Reyes with a double double 20 points and 19 rebounds
Arianna Garcia 15 points 3 rebounds
Valentina Ayala returned to the court and had 2 points 6 rebounds 2 steals
Aliana Cardenas 2 points 15 rebounds
Mia Rollins 2 points 3 rebounds
