Thank you, Tennis Coach Julie Cameron for sharing these results from our Lytle Varsity Tennis Team.
Our varsity tennis team competed in the Somerset tournament on Friday, January 31, facing tough competition from some district competitors as well as a couple of 6A schools. Despite the challenge, our players showed resilience, grit, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Nathaniel Armendariz had a strong showing in boys singles, battling through the consolation bracket to secure the championship on that side. Several of our players also fought hard in their divisions, playing for third place: Celeste Ramirez in girls singles, Kellyahn Castano and Janelle Young in girls doubles, and Lillian Evans alongside temporary partner Frank Ng in mixed doubles.
Every division displayed determination and growth, making the tournament a valuable learning experience. Our team continues to gain confidence and refine their game with each match. We’re proud of their efforts and look forward to the next competition at McFarlin TC.
A special Thank You to our superintendent, Dr. Breithaupt for stopping by. We know your time is valuable and appreciated your support.
