Girls Basketball Team Selfie in Jourdanton Locker Room

Thank you, Athletic Director and Head Girls Basketball Coach Lori Wilson for all the celebrations and team growth you have shared this season in your summaries. We are proud of our girls for fighting hard to the end, every game.

The girls played their last game on Tuesday against the undefeated District champs from Jourdanton and it was a tough loss 77-26. The girls battled the entire game and did not give up. This team showed great strength and dedication all season. We suffered many ups and downs but all 9 girls finished the season and everyone saw minutes this last game. We will lose three great seniors who showed leadership all season. Arianna Garcia, Lunna Reyes and Valentina Ayala, we want to thank you for all your dedication the last four years and we wish you the best as you begin your next chapter. We will return six players and will rely on some incoming eighth graders to take on some key roles.

Leading the team with her double double was Lunna Reyes with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

  • Arianna Garcia 7 points 8 rebounds

  • Aliana Cardenas 4 points 5 rebounds

  • Zabella Garza 2 points 2 rebounds

  • Mia Rollins 2 points 1 rebound

Thank you to everyone that cheered these girls on all season long it meant the world to them. Until next year. Go Pirates!
