You've Been Served 2024 - Senior Tennis Players Honor Lytle High School Staff Members

Five Lytle High School Senior Tennis players organized a tribute to Lytle ISD staff members who inspired them in their lives. Follow these students as they surprise their mentors with an honorary "You've Been Served!" t-shirt to wear. Hector Anaya and Ms. Danna Gilmore, Matthew De La Fuente and Ms. Morgan Clyde, Jose "Joe" Gomez and Mr. Andrew Oser, Aiden Martinez, and Coach Gilbert Ruiz,  and Lola Patino and Athletic Director / Girls Head Basketball Coach Lori Wilson. At the end, they surprised their coaches, Mrs. Julie Cameron and Mrs. Jackie Bohl Hans with a shirt for all their guidance over the years. Special thanks to Mrs. Desiree Lara for making these fun shirts and being a huge supporter of Lytle Tennis.

And now for a tennis update!

Congratulations

to Aiden Martinez, Hector Anaya, Jose Gomez and Lola Patino on their well-deserved advancement to 28 3A Tennis Regionals! These players made it to the Saturday April 27, finals in District Tournament play to experience the harsh realities of playbacks, but emerged ready for the challenges ahead.

Jourdanton Texas will host the regional Tournament this year on May 8-9. Aiden and Jose will be ready to play if called upon, but they will spend this week getting Hector and Lola ready for Regional level competition and anyone who faces them on the other side of the net.

Joanna Plaza is also a Regional Qualifier in Girls Singles. So she too, is preparing this week to proudly represent Lytle in Jourdanton.

Says Coach Cameron, "We have great tennis kids in our district, but it was a great pleasure to get personal text messages from coaches saying how wonderful our kids are and how well they played. Their sportsmanship is amazing and well accepted so much so that it is nice to cheer for good tennis rather than just the school or team."
