Skull Studios is happy to announce that the Documentary and Animation UIL entries are both going to semi-finals.
The next step for both is UIL State, below are some comments about our animation, Reminiscence.
Judge 1
Powerful story. Artwork is very nice. There are moments that feel like some of the animation needed more movement. Nice voice work throughout as well. All the pieces work well, music, sound, mostly balanced and effective. Well done
Judge 2
Nice job! I enjoyed this film, the story was wholesome and entertaining. The drawings were good, the backgrounds were especially nice. I do wish the animation was smoother at times, a few more inbetweens on some of the animation would have really pushed this to the next level. I would also like to see some more secondary animation, when the characters are talking some hand or body movement would help a lot. Overall this is great. Keep animating.
Judge 3
The video had some good scene selections. The middle part of the video's animation was better. The storyline was smooth and the animation flowed. The audio needs a little work. Overall, it's a very nice and well done animation.
UIL should send notification next week if these entries are heading to State, wish us luck.
