The Junior Varsity Lady Pirates played against Crystal City last Friday, January 19 and came up short. During the first half of the game, the girls were playing lights out with one of our best halves of the season going into halftime, leading by 10. Then that dreaded 3rd period showed with Crystal City outscoring us by 12 points. Going into the 4th period and down by 4, the girls did not back down, they fought hard. K'Lynn hit a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left to tie the game and put the game into overtime. During the overtime period, the game was intense. Each team was trading buckets for a good 2 minutes. In the few seconds of the overtime period, Crystal City made some tough shots, and we could not capitalize on some missed opportunities. The game ended with Lytle 30 and Crystal City 32.
