On Friday night, January 12, 2024, in front of a great home crowd the girls picked up a great team win over Dilley 93-15 with everyone scoring. The team set a record for scoring 70 points in the first half. If you were at the game, you saw them come out that first quarter on fire with everyone knocking down their outside shots. The girls were 30/52 (57%) from the field and 50% from 3-point land. We had 30 steals and only 6 turnovers. These girls have played as a team every game they have had so far in District play. It is exciting watching them come together and grow so much. The girls are now 19-7 for the season and 3-0 in District play. The Seniors keep leading the way. The girls will travel to Hondo on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, to face another 3-0 team and the times have changed due to the weather and traveling late. The Varsity girls will play at 5pm now and Junior Varsity plays at 6:30 pm in the old gym. So, the boys do not get a late start they will follow the Varsity Girls game and tip off at 6:30 pm.

The team celebrated another record for Senior Captain Calyssa Sevier as she collected assist number 500 on Friday night. This girl is on track to break 2 more records before she leaves Lytle High School. The team and coaches are so proud of her and all her accomplishments.
