The varsity girls traveled to Nixon Smiley on Friday, December 15, 2023, and picked up win #16 for the season. The final score was 63-19. The girls were too much for the Mustangs to handle. The Lady Pirates scored 25 points on Nixon’s turnovers and scored 34 points in the paint. They also picked up 18 steals. Everyone got some great minutes as they closed out play until after Christmas. There were only 8 players, so everyone got some good minutes that will pay off in District.
The girls’ basketball had their Annual Christmas party on Sunday night, and the girls were at the gym this Monday morning for 8AM practice. They are putting in the work and are excited to see what this season holds in the post-season.
