The girls finished the Southside Tourney with a 2nd place finish. They battled Uvalde and won 53-26 to advance them to the ship. We would face Cole again for the championship. The girls fell short 48-37 but they played a great game and fought until the end. The girls got a lot of games under their belt and we are coming together as a team. It was great bringing home some hardware back to Lytle these seniors just keeping adding to the trophy case. Congratulations to Senior Captains Calyssa Sevier and Katara Whitfield for making the All-Tournament Team. So proud of these young ladies. Combined for both games Calyssa Sevier had 43 points and Katara Whitfield with 23 points.
On Monday, the girls took on a physical and athletic Jourdanton team and won 53-43 Calyssa Sevier was the only player with double figures with 27 points.
Tuesday we took on Pleasanton and won 54-46 Calyssa Sevier had 26 points and Katara Whitfield had 13 points.
The girls deserved a few days off as they had played 8 games in the last 5 days. So proud of all of them and all the hard work they put in.
We will take on Devine on Tuesday November 28th here in Lytle. The girls are now 8-3 for the year. Go Pirates!
